Two weeks ago I did some shots for my friends who worked on performing a play. Since it was shown to the public yesterday, I'm able to release some of the images now:

Inspiration: Dean Bradshaw
Dean Bradshaw is an Australian born photographer currently residing in Southern California. He started out as a biologist and worked with snakes before he got into photography.
Beeing in the "constant pursuit of visual awesome" he merges studio-shot persons with backgrounds in order to make his visions come alive.
I came across his work a few months ago, but finally decided to publish it in an blog post.
Fstoppers, Strobist and the other blogging dudes have also mentioned him a few weeks ago.
The series you can see below has been shot for the company "Star Trac".

Annie Leibovitz - Lady Gaga for Vanity Fair
Another inspiration I came across lately is this video of Annie Leibovitz shooting Lady Gaga.
She's using a brollybox, which I'm lately very into, too. I like the way she mixes ambient lighting with the type of light that the umbrella produces - they blend very nicely together.

Richard Avedon - Darkness and Light
Today, I came across the documentary "Darkness and Light" which talks about the life, influences and work of some of the most famous photographers today: Richard Avedon.
I found it really interesting to get an insight into his way of creating images.
